Greensider Foundation MTÜ ('Greensider', 'we', 'us' or 'our') is a non-profit organisation focused on growing the green workforce. At the core of our operations is transparency. This is why we provide the following privacy policy to explain the type of data we collect about you, how it is used and with whom it is shared. This Privacy Policy applies when you use our services, such as subscribing to our newsletter, registering an account, creating a profile or posting a job on this website
You provide data to us when using the following services:
To subscribe to our newsletter, you need to provide us with your email address.
To register an account you need to provide data including your email address and a password, unless you are using the passwordless feature, which requires only an email address. You also need to indicate whether you are creating an account as an individual (‘Person’) or an organisation (‘Organisation’).
To create a profile, a name and a headline are required. Beyond that you have choices about the information on your profile, such as your profile image, location, social media or other links and information about yourself like your education, work experience, skills, etc.
By having an organisation account, you can publish job posts on our website. Information on a job post must include a job title, location, application method, job type, hours, salary if applicable, application deadline and a job description.
You provide your data to us according to which services you choose to use.
To subscribe to our newsletter, you need to enter your email address on our Substack page.
To register an account, create a profile or post a job, you need to enter the details described in Section 1 of this document on the Greensider website.
How we use your personal data will depend on which services you use, how you use those services and the choices you make in your settings.
Once you subscribe, we will use your email address to send you major updates about the progress of Greensider Foundation, new feature releases on our website, as well as, but not limited to, new episodes of the Greensider Stories podcast and monthly picks from our community book club.
We will use the details described in Section 1 of this document to create an account in our database.

We will use the details described in Section 1 of this document to create a profile or job entry in our database.
This information is publicly available to anyone visiting our website.
We will also use your email address to notify you of your job posts that are about to expire.
You have various options to unsubscribe from content or delete your data depending on the service that you use.
You may unsubscribe from a specific type of content (eg. Stories, Books, News) or from all emails by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of our newsletter emails.
If you want to delete your account, you may do so by clicking on the ‘Delete account’ button on the Settings page. You need to be logged in for this page to be available. This action deletes your account and all your data from our database, including your profile data. Make sure you are certain before proceeding because this action is irreversible.
Alternatively, if you cannot access your account, you may email us from the email address that you used to create your account and we will delete your data at our earliest convenience.
If you want to delete your profile and your account, you can follow the instructions in Section 4.2 above.
Should you wish to delete your profile, but keep your account, you may email us from the email address that you used to create your account and we will remove your profile data from our database at our earliest convenience.
If you want to delete a job post, you can simply do so from the job editor page, by clicking on the pencil icon and then on the ‘Delete’ button.
If you want to unsubscribe from the job post expiry notifications, you can click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ or ‘Unsubscribe Preferences’ links at the bottom of the corresponding email.
How we store your data depends on which service you use.
We will keep your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this privacy notice or as otherwise required by law, unless you unsubscribe or delete your data.
We use Substack to manage our newsletter subscription service.
By subscribing to our newsletter, you also agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Information Collection Notice of Subsctack Inc.

Your account, profile and jobs data is stored in our database which is hosted on Supabase.
By registering an account, creating a profile or posting a job you also agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy of Supabase Inc.
As required for GDPR compliance, we have a Data Processing Addendum ("DPA") with Supabase Inc.
Greensider would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user of our services is entitled to the following:
The right to access: You have the right to request from us copies of your personal data.
The right to rectification: You have the right to request us to correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure: You have the right to request us to erase your personal data.
The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request us to restrict the processing of your personal data.
The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.
The right to data portability: You have the right to request us to transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you.

We do not use any advertising or analytics cookies on our website. We only use authentication cookies from Supabase to persist your session i.e. for your browser to determine if you are logged in or not.
Our website might contain links to other websites. Our privacy policy applies only to our website, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.
We keep our privacy policy under regular review and place any updates on this web page. The date this privacy policy was last updated is at the top of this page.
