Insights, the Water Knowledge Club

1. What kind of content is in the Knowledge Hub?

We write about the stuff nobody talks about at networking events. Like how oil companies need water experts, or why data centers are hiring for water efficiency roles, or what it's actually like to transition from consulting to water tech.

2. What are the common skills needed for a water career?

Depends on what you want to do. Here’s the thing - a lot of the skills are transferable: - From tech: Data analysis, systems thinking, user experience design - From consulting: Problem-solving, client management, project coordination - From finance: Risk modeling, business development, investment analysis - From engineering: Process optimisation, technical problem-solving, regulatory compliance The water industry needs people who understand both the technical and business sides. Your existing skills probably fit somewhere.

3. How can I transition into a career in the water sector?

Start from diving into our Insights page. It’s full of "wait, I could do that?" moments. Many people don't start in water; they bring expertise from elsewhere and apply it to water challenges. The secret sauce is understanding which water problems match your skills, then learning enough industry context to speak the language. We're here to help.

4. Can I submit an article or blog post?

Got a good story or insight? We'd love to hear it! We especially love hearing from people who've made career transitions or discovered unexpected water opportunities. Drop us an email!

5. Who writes the content for the Knowledge Hub?

Our team plus guest contributors from across the water world. We prioritise authentic stories from real people doing interesting work.
