This is a fully remote position but locations as close as possible to Irish time (GMT+1) are strongly preferred.

BlueTech Research is looking for a commercially minded and highly organised Events Manager to lead the strategy and delivery of our BlueTech Forum Unplugged series and other global event activations. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on creating outstanding in-person experiences and knows how to build events that are as financially sound as they are impactful.

BlueTech is a trusted intelligence partner for the world’s leading water innovators. Through our research, insight, and convening power, we help global clients navigate the rapidly changing water technology landscape. Our BlueTech Forum Unplugged series brings together changemakers, scientists, investors, and technology pioneers — not in a single flagship event, but across a series of curated, in-person gatheringsheld around the world. These events are smaller, deeper, and built for meaningful dialogue.

What you’ll do

You’ll manage the full lifecycle of multiple global events — both large and intimate — ensuring every detail is aligned with BlueTech’s high standards. You’ll work directly with our leadership, sponsors, and speakers to make every experience memorable, seamless, and strategic.

Responsibilities

Drive and secure sponsorship revenue for each event
Manage the profit and loss, ensuring targets are met
Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of BlueTech Forum Unplugged events globally
Liaise with venues, vendors, AV, and local partners
Coordinate speaker outreach, travel, bios, presentations, and event run-of-show
Manage relationships with sponsors and key delegates
Support registration, communications, and post-event reporting
Work closely with our internal team to align events with research and campaign calendars
Support strategic partner events such as Weftec, Aquatech and virtual roundtables

What you’ll bring

Proven experience in end- to-end event management, including commercial elements - Ideally B2B or professional/technical sectors

Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confident liaising with senior-level stakeholders
Fluent English (spoken and written)
A calm, resourceful approach to solving problems under pressure
A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
High attention to detail and a drive to get things done
Experience with international event logistics
Bonus points: Familiarity with the water sector, cleantech, or sustainability space
