Senior Manager, Climate and Sustainability

In this role, you will:

Lead Expedia Group’s environmental sustainability and climate strategy, establish strategic impact priorities and action plans, while working closely with the Director, Social Impact and Sustainability
Drive strategic vision and agenda for company’s position on climate – both from an operational perspective & also to embed sustainability across our travel platforms
Collaborate with stakeholders across Expedia Group to drive the strategy, activities, and narrative to address environmental sustainability issues that align with and support business goals
Work with leaders across Expedia Group to set and deliver upon sustainability goals and KPIs in alignment with industry benchmarks and business goals, including both internal operations and with our products and technologies
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental sustainability initiatives and develop appropriate presentations and reports to share progress with stakeholders
Participate in and manage internal working groups, join and represent Expedia Group in external sustainability partnerships and working groups.
Ensure preparedness and manage ongoing voluntary and compliance environmental reporting such as ratings submissions, regulatory disclosures, and annual reporting.
Drive implementation and oversight on net-zero roadmap including leading our cross functional working group, quarterly reporting on progress, and the Scope 3 supplier engagement strategy
Lead development of new climate risk and adaptation program and business integration
Manage strategic programs that embed sustainability across our travel platforms and engage our travel partners

Experience and Qualifications:

8+ years experience across corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability, climate and/or strategy development, with an ability to bring insight and subject matter expertise on sustainability trends, practices, and innovations
Deep expertise in environmental sustainability, with public company experience a plus
Success leading large-scale initiatives, engaging a variety of stakeholders, and influencing without direct authority
Proven stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners and constituencies
An understanding of the technology and travel sectors and a passion for using technology tools to drive sustainability.
Strong project management and organizational skills, including attention to detail
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disseminate key trends and insights important to the attainment of strategic objectives
Excellent writing and presentation skills

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in New York is $166,000.00 to $232,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $265,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
