Job Title: Manager, Risk and ESG

Reports To: Global Head of Operations (Risk, Intelligence and Sustainability)

Job Overview:

Pilgrims Risk Management Group is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated operations and project manager to support our Risk and Intelligence business line, and internal ESG governance. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the receipt, planning, deployment and delivery of Risk and Intelligence consultant tasks and products to clients. In addition to overseeing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policies and standards, ensuring compliance and excellence through internal audits and best practices. It is intended as a Junior Manager/development role for a candidate looking to grown, learn and deputise for the Global Head of Operations (Risk, Intelligence and Sustainability).

Key Responsibilities:

Risk and Intelligence Management

Support the development and implementation of Risk products. Ensuring alignment with client’s goals and requirements.
Oversee intelligence gathering and analysis processes to identify emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and operational risks.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and execute risk management strategies and response plans.
Monitor the global security landscape and advise on proactive measures to address geopolitical, technological, and operational risks.
Act as a point of escalation for critical incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Deliver Operational tasks within the Risk and Information Services business line.
Assist writing R&IS and Global Operations quotes and bids as directed by the Global Head of Operations (Risk, Intelligence and Sustainability).
Support the Global Head of Operations (Risk, Intelligence and Sustainability) as required.
Support Global Operations business line as required.

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Implementation

Develop, implement, and oversee ESG policies and standards across the organisation.
Design and implement robust internal audit frameworks, subsequently conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with ESG frameworks and identify areas for improvement.
Promote ESG best practices across all departments, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Drive initiatives to enhance sustainability, diversity, and ethical practices within the organization.
Provide regular reporting on ESG performance and outcomes to senior leadership.
Benchmark organisational practices against industry standards and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices are integrated across operational processes.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree. Related to International Affairs or Security preferred but not essential.
Experience in risk management, intelligence, and cybersecurity within a corporate or governmental setting.
Knowledge of ESG principles, frameworks, and reporting standards.
Understanding of regulatory environments, including GDPR, ISO standards, and other relevant compliance requirements.
Understanding of conducting internal audits and implementing continuous improvement processes.
Experience in the security or service sector.
Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
